Employment Information Sheet
Please read this page completely. If you determine you still wish
to apply for a position with Valley Communications, click the link
at the bottom of the page, to fill out our online application.
Valley Com’s testing requires that you successfully complete
each individual phase of the testing process in order to continue
on. If you do not pass the typing or multitask test you may retest
in 90 days. The written and video portion may be re-tested after
6 months. None of the skills tests will be given more than 3 times.
The testing process consists of:

Must be able to type 40 wpm. Applicant must successfully pass
an audible keyboarding test, if this portion is not successfully
completed you may retest after 90 days. If this portion of the
process is successfully completed applicant will continue on
to:

A multitasking audio test.

A written test, which is a timed test.

A video based skills test.

A psychological examination.
-
An extensive background investigation.

If the above steps are successfully completed the applicant
may be invited to an interview.

If all of the above steps are successfully completed the applicant
receives a conditional offer of employment

With successful completion of all of the above steps the applicant
is offered employment.

The applicant will then have a physical examination, and be
fingerprinted. If for any reason the applicant fails the physical
examination the job offer will be withdrawn.
Testing Process Time Line
To successfully complete each step in the process may take several
months.

Insurance
Presently medical coverage is offered through either Regence Health
Care or Group Health; Dental Coverage is offered through Washington
Dental Service and Vision Care through VSP.
Training
An initial training period of approximately 8-10 weeks will be
provided.
Failure to pass tests at 80% during initial training class will
result in termination from the program. Testing and evaluations
will be done on a regularly scheduled basis.
